It always makes me wonder why organizations in politics, business, and elsewhere fail to have a succession plan. Despite the Indian Leaders talking about karma and other Gyan, it doesn't get realized in practice. Even if they have in place, they become dogmatic and stay around in picking something or the other and never shed the fat of founder's-syndrome.

I usually avoid autobiographies for being lectured, but this one caught my eye for its consistency in being in the news, and the father-son duo washing the dirty linen in the public across the lounges of courts made me pick this and didnโ€™t disappoint me. What an autobiography can and can't discuss, always seems a million-dollar question but this duel is worth a book. It seems the incompleteness in this instance has been on and remains here as, 'An Incomplete Life' the autobiography by Vijayapath Singhania, and I couldnโ€™t remember how many times it was back in the news with either of them filing for an interim with Mumbai High Court.

I got enriched and enjoyed how the Court restrained the Author and Publishers to not take up sales, distribution, and circulation of the book until further orders were doubly spectacular, nothing short of a drama. Gautham Singhania claims that the book is exposing a lot of confidential business information and the current ongoing arbitration, which can be sub-judicious, and opening up business secrets is too late to appeal when everything by now is open to the public.

The Book got similar attention in 2019 when attempts were made to stall the release of the book. The entire is an episode of parenting issues or succession management or clash of in-family egos, but the result of a fallout between the estranged father-son duo, who took to the court to resolve the so-called ill-treatment by Senior Singhania has led to ongoing property rights issues took through this book to make their points in shadow.

It was nothing new to know how Indian Family businesses believe and bond themselves with an unwritten constitution of their own, which is a source of a disaster in the making. The separate attachment is better than the attached detachment. Anyway, I believe that all who listen donโ€™t practice, all who practice learn to listen. It is certainly incomplete but completes a lesson.
